Currently, Cable ONE emphasizes their focus on “customer satisfaction, associate satisfaction, and local service.” As an example of their devotion to customer service, they direct over 1,000 surveys a month on customer satisfaction.

Cable and Phone Services

Cable ONE offers unlimited long-distance calling through their phone service and three different packages for TV: Economy, Standard, and HD/DVR that includes over 20 HD channels.

Internet

Cable ONE currently offers broadband Internet access available in three different packages: Economy, Standard, and 50 Mbps Internet.

  • Economy: The economy package is a cost-friendly plan aimed for light and occasional Internet use, with a monthly data cap of one gigabyte. The advertised download speed is 1.5 Mbps.
  • Standard: The next package level up includes faster speeds and a higher data cap. The 5.0 Mbps base download speed allows gaming and more streaming. There are other bundle offers that bump up the data cap from 50 gigabytes to 100 and increase the download speed, depending on whether the package is “Preferred” or “Elite.”
  • 50 Mbps: The fastest Internet package available is the appropriately titled “50 Mbps Internet.” With download speeds of up to 50 Mbps, this tier allows for streaming, downloading, and gaming with a 100 gigabyte data plan.
  • Fiber Optic: Cable ONE also offers a fiber-based network solutions to businesses through four different adjustable plans, including speeds up to 1 Gbps and no throttling.

The weighted average downstream of all its broadband customers is 15.6 Mbps, with an average upstream of 1.5 Mbps.

Data Usage Monitoring

Cable ONE also manages the data transfer of its networks by monitoring data usage through traffic management software to prevent excessive bandwidth consumption. The company throttles the speed of users that fall in the top 5 percent of users in order to ensure that the remaining customers aren't adversely affected. They define excessive usage as more than three gigabytes of total data transferred per day for over half the billing cycle on a "Standard" Internet plan.
